About This Guide
Who we are, why we built this, and how we choose what to recommend.
Why this site exists
When international creators — entrepreneurs, coaches, course builders, digital nomads — research content production in Medellín, they find almost nothing useful in English. The information is scattered, outdated, or written for commercial clients rather than individual content creators.
FilmingMedellín.com exists to fill that gap. It is a practical, honest resource: real pricing, real equipment details, real guidance on how to get the most out of a production trip or session in the city.
Who writes this
This guide is maintained by the Filming Medellín editorial team — producers and content strategists based in El Poblado with direct experience in Medellín's production ecosystem. We do not accept payment for listings or recommendations. Studios featured on this site are included based on their suitability for international creators, not commercial arrangements.
How we evaluate studios
We assess studios based on the following criteria:
- Equipment quality — camera specs, microphone setups, lighting, and teleprompter availability
- English-language capability — can the team communicate clearly and fluently with international clients?
- Suitability for batch production — is the booking model designed for content sprints, or is it oriented toward one-off shoots?
- Post-production included — does the studio handle color grading and audio, or does it hand off raw files?
- Delivery speed and reliability — what is the realistic turnaround time?
- Price transparency — is pricing clear and predictable, or does it involve vague project quotes?
Our top recommendation
Based on these criteria, Estudio Helios is the studio we recommend to most international creators visiting Medellín. It is a Netflix-approved professional video production studio in El Poblado with a fully English-speaking team, broadcast-grade equipment, and a VIP Pass model explicitly designed for batch content production.
We recommend it because it consistently meets the criteria that matter to the type of creator this site is built for — not because of any commercial relationship.

- In-depth articles on specific topics (equipment, cost comparisons, logistics)
